Sista!

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there. ~Amy Li

Many days my sister is my saving grace. Today was one of those days...

She is my absolute best friend in this world...she brings me back down to reality, calms my nerves and cools my head when it feels like this world is against me. I know it's not, but sometimes life gets overwhelming...

This is just a short shout out post to Twin B! Thanks for always being there for me. Love you 1000x.

High Five For 5

Over the long weekend our daughter Taylor turned 5 years old...that's half a decade! I just can't believe how fast the time flew by. Í know everyone told us..."just wait before you know it your kids will be walking...potty trained, starting kindergarten, off to university, getting married.....etc, etc" I'm here to say those parent vets are right..of course. Time flies by so quickly and life just has a way of slipping by without us even noticing...it's our jobs to take in the moments and appreciate them.

It really seems like just yesterday that she was born into our family and yet at the same time it seems like we've never been without her. Our home and our cabin were filled with love, food, friends, family and celebration this weekend.

Here are some pictures to see how much Taylor's grown in the past 5 years:

It's Your Choice

I came across this post on Facebook and fell in love. I have seen this quote before and it came to me on a day that I needed to see it. I am a believer that you choose to be happy. There are many situations or circumstances in life where one can choose to have a crappy attitude, and I have been there many times...I know, I know....hard to believe :)

Now that I am a mother to two beautiful daughters I know that it is so very important to teach my girls that happiness is a choice and even though we may not always choose it, we need to have the skills and tools to navigate through this crazy world and find it for ourselves.

Thanks John
